An upbringing in rural Northumberland imbued me with an attachment to the natural environment.
After 3 years study in Chelsea, London, I spent several years teaching painting and ceramics. During
this period and after, I had exhibitions of painting and ceramics in the UK, USA, France and China.
Since living in France I have concentrated on paintings which reflect the attachment to
surroundings which have always been a seminal part of my visual and physical experience.
C'est une éducation rurale à Northumberland en Grande Bretagne, qui m'a donné l'amour de la
nature. Après 3 ans comme étudiant à Chelsea, Londres, j'ai été pendant quelques années
professeur des Beaux art et cèramiques. Pendant et après cette période, j'ai exposé mes tableaux
et mes cèramiques en Grande Bretagne, France, Etats Unis et Chine. Depuis je vis en France et me
suis concentré sur les tableaux, lesquels évoquent cet amour de la nature toujours primordiale dans
ma recherche visuelle et physique.
